Soil Water Sampling

What's in your soil water matters as much as how much of it there is. The SSAT gives you a direct sample.

Soil water tension tells you when to irrigate. Soil water chemistry tells you what you're actually delivering to the root zone — and what's leaching past it. The SSAT extracts a water sample directly from the soil at any depth for lab analysis of nitrates, salinity, EC, and other elements.

When paired with tissue analysis for calibration, this data enables precision nutrient management — adjusting fertilizer rate and timing to maximize production while reducing input costs and environmental impact.

What Growers Use It For

Nitrate Monitoring

Track nitrate levels at the root zone and below it to understand uptake efficiency and leaching losses — and adjust fertilizer programs accordingly.

Salinity & EC Measurement

Monitor electrical conductivity and salt accumulation in the root zone — especially important in arid regions or where recycled water is used for irrigation.

Research & Calibration

Used alongside tissue analysis to calibrate nutrient programs for specific crops and soil types. A standard tool for university and agricultural research trials.

Used Alongside Soil Moisture Monitoring

The SSAT complements IRROMETER and WATERMARK sensors — together they give a complete picture of both when to irrigate and what the irrigation is delivering to the root zone.
